Team Nordic defeated Team Germany in the Nations Cup segment of the Race of Champions taking place this weekend in Mexico City.
Nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen and Swedish rallycross champion Johan Kristoffersson edged the high-profile pair made up of Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher on Saturday.
The action took place in front of a full house at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez' Foro Sol stadium.
Before Germany and Team Nordic enjoyed their thrilling on-track confrontation, the former defeated Brazil at the semi-final stage, with Schumacher - driving the number rallycross RS Superlite and with sister Gina Marie in the passenger seat - beating three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castro Neves.
Team Nordic gained access to the final by defeating the local Team Mexico squad that included former F1 driver Esteban Guttiérez.
The final Nations Cup showdown saw Kristensen edge Vettel after the German had clipped an advertising barrier at the wheel of his KTM X-Bow.
The Dane then edged Scumacher to deliver the ROC Nations Cup trophy to Team Nordic by a combined margin of just 0.8 seconds!
