Two years ago, Lewis Hamilton and Sir Stirling Moss carried out a similar filming day with a Mercedes W196 at Silverstone. On that occasion, the team also brought along its W04 to sit alongside the most dominant F1 car it had created. The following year, the team arguably surpassed its past achievements as the W05 won 16 of 19 races and took 18 of 19 pole positions in an utterly dominant season.
