Things did not go so well last time around

Before this weekend's qualifying session, Nico Rosberg's last pole position stretched back to last year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In his title showdown with Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, the German drew first blood by posting the fastest time on Saturday at Yas Marina Circuit. Rosberg's hopes would be short-lived though, as Hamilton's perfect getaway from second on Sunday meant he was already en route to his second word championship by the first corner.
