When Mercedes lured Lewis Hamilton away from McLaren at the end of the 2012 season, they knew they were getting an incredibly fast racer who had already won a world title. As for the Briton, he knew we was joining a bona-fide works team with the full-fledged support from a constructor. Although Hamilton had to find to find his feet during his first season at Mercedes, the combination has then been pretty much irresistible.
