Four years ago, the "Home of British Motorsport" underwent important renovation works with the construction of a spectacular building, aptly called “The Wing”, to house the new garages, media center and race control. Perhaps the Silverstone track, which was initially laid out on a former RAF airfield, did lose some of its cachet in the process, but one has to keep up with the times.
