Nico Rosberg is no stranger to winning at Silverstone, as the Mercedes driver secured his second victory of 2013 in an incident-marred British Grand Prix two years ago. But with Hamilton suffering a spectacular tyre failure - one of several drivers to experience such misfortune that afternoon - and Vettel retiring with a gearbox issue, Rosberg inherited the lead and never looked back.
