When the going is good, Pastor Maldonado can be a blisteringly quick driver. The Venezuelan has not become a Formula One grand prix winner (Spain 2012) for no reason. Unfortunately, and though he is in his fifth full campaign, the Lotus driver remains equally prone to making costly mistakes, as highlighted by his latest FP1 crash at Spa-Francorchamps.
