Although Justin Wilson only drove for one season in Formula One, that was enough to leave his mark in the sport. Having defeated Mark Webber to win the 2001 International F3000 title, the Sheffield-born racer got his F1 breakthrough with Minardi two years later.
Wilson competed for the Faenza-based squad during the first 11 races of the season before Jaguar called him up to replace Antonio Pizzonia and partner... Mark Webber for the final five grands prix.
Wilson scored his maiden and only point in the sport by finishing eighth at Indianapolis, perhaps an early sign that the popular Briton would ultimately embrace a successful career stateside.
