A cracking debut on home soil

When Mark Webber made his Formula One debut at the 2002 Australian Grand Prix, his initial contract with the Faenza-based squad only covered the first three races of the season. But a stunning drive to fifth on home soil - Minardi’s first points finish since 1999 - quickly earned Webber an extension and launched his 217-grand prix career.
