Once again, tyres were the focal point at the end of a Formula One weekend as Mercedes found itself under investigation for running low tyre pressures in the Italian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton - unaware at this stage of the threat to his race victory - coincidentally patted his left rear tyre at the end of the grand prix. Fortunately for Hamilton, his dominant performance still yielded full points as Mercedes faced no further action.
