As the debate for closed cockpits continues, it must be remembered that a potential change needs to filter down to lower categories of racing too. Henry Surtees died in 2009 at the age of 18 when he was struck by a loose wheel during a Formula Two race at Brands Hatch. His father John - seen here with Henry at a Formula BMW race in 2007 - was present at Goodwood this weekend to help launch the new Shell Classic X-100 motor oil brand, which will see a donation made to the Henry Surtees Foundation with every can sold.
