How could we ever forget Kimi Raikkonen’s stunning last-lap move on Renault's Giancarlo Fisichella to win the 2005 Japanese Grand Prix?
Having qualified only 17th following a rain-afflicted session at Suzuka, the Finn charged through the field in the McLaren-Mercedes MP4/20. In the closing stages, Raikkonen was already up to P2 but still pounding the track in order to reel in race leader Fisichella.
On the penultimate lap, the Italian was slightly held up by a backmarker at the final chicane, which gave Kimi the opportunity he had been craving for. The pair ran nose-to-tail on the pit straight before Raikkonen darted on the outside and made a move stick in the first corner of the daunting Esses. F1 at its very best.
