It's a very happy 31st birthday today to Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean He was born on April 17 1986 in Geneva, Switzerland, although he chooses to compete under the French flag.

Grosjean had an illustrious road to Formula 1, winning titles in Formula 3 Euro Series, GP2 Asia, AutoGP and of course sealing a dominating championship victory in GP2 in 2011 which gained him a Grand Prix race seat with Lotus F1.

In 105 races since then, he's finished on the podium on 10 occasions. This picture is from his most recent, when he clinched third place in the 2015 Belgian Grand Prix.

The race had been won by Lewis Hamilton, with his Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg second. Grosjean benefited from a late right-rear tyre blow-out for Sebastian Vettel on the Kemmel Straight. It was Grosjean's (and Lotus') first podium since the 2013 US Grand Prix.
