The ubiquitous shark fin which sprouted this year on Formula 1's new-spec cars is nothing really new. Flash back to 1972 and check out the imposing fin on Jacky Ickx's winning Ferrari 312 B2 at the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. This was the Belgian's eigth and final Grand Prix triumph, suitably achieved on a daunting  track which earned him the label of 'Ringmeister'.
