It should have been a day of celebrations for McLaren junior Lando Norris yesterday at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
The 17-year-old was on his way to clinch the European F3 title with one round to spare when he was punted off on the final lap after a late outbraking move by rival Ralf Aron.
A desolate Norris was left pondering his unlucky fate in the sandbox.
It will likely all come together for the talented Brit however in two weeks when he savours a job well done this season at the F3 final round in Hockenheim.
