Fernando Alonso was happy to get home after back-to-back races in Austin and Mexico.

And someone was certainly pleased to see him, as this picture posted by the two-time world champion on Instragram clearly shows.

"It seems that someone is happy when I'm back home," said Alonso.

Actually we're not sure whether the look on the furry face is a 'pleased to see you' expression or one imploring him to 'feed me now!'

Cats usually don't like it when their owners go away for several weeks. However we're guessing that the purrfect pet will be used to his periodic absences by this point, given the McLaren's driver's globe-trotting job.

More than anything it looks like the cat is just photobombing Alonso and making sure that the picture goes viral and gets seen by millions around the world. And we're happy to help: anything to help our feline overlords
