Today, the Mercedes F1 team celebrates the genesis of its 2018 car but also the birthday of its non-executive chairman, the legendary Niki Lauda.
The three-time world champion was born 69 years ago but his racer's heart isn't skipping a beat. Lauda will once again be on deck at every Grand Prix this year, overseeing operations in the Mercedes camp flanked by motorsport boss Toto Wolff.
But wait, there's more...
Lauda will also take to the skies once again in 2018, having recently rescued his former airline 'Niki' after emerging as the best bidder for the beleaguered aviation company.
Niki Lauda, racer and aviator extraordinaire.
