It's no secret that Lewis Hamilton loves his music almost as much as he's passionate about motor sports. While he could seal his third Formula One championship in a few days time at the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas, it was first things first for the 30-year-old this weekend: next on his to-do list is learning to play the piano.

He's got quite a backdrop to his efforts, with a superb view of the skyline of Miami behind him - not that is seems to be distracting him from his practice session. Then again, if you're used to keeping your head as things come flying at you at 200mph then we reckon he's got the concentration part pretty much down cold.

Andrew first became a fan of Formula 1 during the time when Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill were stepping into the limelight after the era of Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell and Aryton Senna. He's also written professionally about GP2 (now Formula 2), GP3, IndyCar, World Rally Championship, MotoGP and NASCAR. In his other professional life, Andrew is a freelance writer, social media consultant, web developer/programmer, and digital specialist in the fields of accessibility, usability, IA, online communities and public sector procurement. He worked for many years in magazine production at Bauer Media, and for over a decade he was part of the digital media team at the UK government's communications department.
