Amid thunderstorms and heavy rain, let’s not forget that Sauber is celebrating its 400th grand prix participation this weekend in Austin. The Swiss outfit entered Formula One at the 1993 South African Grand Prix and has been a permanent fixture in the sport ever since.

Although the Hinwill-based squad has yet to win a race as an independent structure, it did secure a resounding one-two finish as BMW’s factory team during the 2008 Canadian GP, with Robert Kubica leading home team-mate Nick Heidfeld at Montreal.
