Lewis Hamilton produced an outstanding drive at Monza, but it was perhaps the Mercedes driver's attitude outside of his car that was most impressive.
The current leader of the world championship inflicted a painful defeat on Ferrari at the Temple of Speed, its holy home ground.
At the end of the day, Hamilton's performance was greeted with a resounding outcry of negativity by the booing tifosi. The Brit however had the perfect response for his local loathers.
"In the arena that we are in, it is easy to allow it to get to you and allow it to have an impact on your life, but it is also quite easy to harness it and use it," he said.
"That gave me so much motivation. I welcome it and if they want to keep doing it, it just empowers me."
