As scheduled, Mick Schumacher took Mercedes' DTM demo car for a spin at the Nurburgring yesterday where a round of the series is being held this weekend.
The young F3 charger responded to an invitation extended by DTM boss Gerhard Berger, who was on site to witness the 18-year-old's run.
"I was excited right away and I supported it, just like Mercedes-AMG and then we made it happen," said the former F1 driver.
"Mick is doing very well in Formula 3 and has scored his first race wins there. Watching the boy as he is gradually showing his Schumacher genes and how he was enjoying our DTM car today is a pleasure for me."
