It's on to greener pastures for Fernando Alonso this weekend as the Spaniard resumes his on-track activities with Toyota in the fourth round of the WEC's superseason.
Alonso lucked in to pole however for Sunday's race after the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway and Jose Maria Lopez had its fastest average qualifying time deleted for exceeding the pitlane speed.
Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Kakajima, who share driving duties onboard the #8 car, currently lead the WEC championship.
