Indy 500 combatant Conor Daly will be in fighter jet mode at the Brickyard next month thanks to the unwavering support of the US Air Force.
The 27-year-old son of former F1 driver Derek Daly will attempt to qualify for his sixth Indy 500, driving a fifth Andretti Autosport Honda in the blue riband event.
Yesterday, team and driver showcased the striking livery of the #25 contender which pays tribute to the USAF's most famous fighter jets, the car displaying the trademark shark teeth war paint often carried into battel by the A-10 Thunderbolt, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning.
"Last year the fans loved our iconic thunderbird livery and I have a feeling they will appreciate this one just as much, if not more," said Daly.
"The aggressive look we’ve got going this year is fantastic. Paying tribute to the history of the fighter jet is an incredible honor, and I can’t wait to finally get behind the wheel."
