This day, 39 years ago, Jody Scheckter won the 1977 Argentine Grand Prix for Wolf. At the time, nobody could really make any sense of the South African's choice to leave Tyrrell and join Walter Wolf's eponymous team at the end of the 1976 season. But those worries we quickly put to rest at the opening round of the championship in Buenos Aires. It was flawless drive by Scheckter at the wheel of a well-balanced car designed by British designer Harvey Postlewiate. And with a little more luck and consistency, the year could have resulted in title glory for Wolf in its maiden F1 season
