We know you might be getting just a little weary of all those pictures of Formula One world champion Lewis Hanging around with celebrities around the world during the off-season, but this is one that we just couldn't resist.

Here's Lewis with none other than Jedi grand master Yoda from the Star Wars saga - and it's the real thing as well, no CGI nonsense here. It's the original puppet used for Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Lewis got to meet up with Yoda when he visited the series' creator George Lucas at his office.

No word yet on whether Yoda was able to confirm that "Strong in the Force this one is, mmmm?" or whether he's a big fan of watching Formula One like Lucas himself. Lucas has attended several Grand Prix events over the years and was even in charge of asking the questions on the podium following the 2015 Italian race at Monza last year (see below).

Andrew first became a fan of Formula 1 during the time when Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill were stepping into the limelight after the era of Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell and Aryton Senna. He's been addicted ever since, and has been writing about the sport now for nearly a quarter of a century for a number of online news sites. He worked for many years in magazine production at Bauer Media, and for over a decade he was part of the digital media team at the UK government's communications department.
