It's Goodwood Festival of Speed time!

It's that time of the year again, when engines and machines of all sorts invade the grounds of Goodwood House and run up the hill in fury in a summer celebration of motorsport.

Last year's event was sadly canceled but competitors are back in full force this weekend to entertain full capacity crowds, courtesy of the always generous Duke of Richmond.

This year's annual motorsport classic is showcasing "The Maestros - Motorsport's Great All Rounders", a theme exemplified over the decades by legendary team owner Roger Penske.

The Captain is on hand this weekend of course to guide a few of his famous cars up the hill, like the 2008 Sebring 12 Hours- winning Porsche RS Spyder.

An array of F1 machinery and past and present F1 stars will also be present, as usual, and Red Bull junior Liam Lawson will drive a Grand Prix car for the very first time this weekend, with the Kiwi sampling Sebastian Vettel's championship-winning Red Bull RB7.

You can follow all the live action from Goodwood right here.

Phillip van Osten

Motor racing was a backdrop from the outset in Phillip van Osten's life. Born in Southern California, Phillip grew up with the sights and sounds of fast cars thanks to his father, Dick van Osten, an editor and writer for Auto Speed and Sport and Motor Trend. Phillip's passion for racing grew even more when his family moved to Europe and he became acquainted with the extraordinary world of Grand Prix racing. He was an early contributor to the monthly French F1i Magazine, often providing a historic or business perspective on Formula 1's affairs. In 2012, he co-authored along with fellow journalist Pierre Van Vliet the English-language adaptation of a limited edition book devoted to the great Belgian driver Jacky Ickx. He also authored "The American Legacy in Formula 1", a book which recounts the trials and tribulations of American drivers in Grand Prix racing. Phillip is also a commentator for Belgian broadcaster Be.TV for the US Indycar series.
