McLaren endured a frustrating day on Thursday as it ended the first test with just three laps completed on the final day. A coolant leak was to blame, but the team was able to recover somewhat on Friday as it carried out a filming day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with Fernando Alonso managing to get back out on track in the MP4-31 and run as required throughout the day.
