As an F1 driver with a big heart, both on and off the track, Alex Albon will be sporting a very special helmet in Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix destined to help a good cause.
The lively light blue lid features a big smile on the front and cartoon-like characters created by children from the Wat Sakaew Temple orphanage in Bangkok, an institution visited by the Anglo-Thao driver earlier this year.
One of the orphanage's main supporters is the Iceman Charity which is run by the brother of Williams Racing boss Jost Capito, so there was an obvious link and a compelling reason for Albon to get involved with the charity.
To help fund a sports hall for the orphanage, the Williams charger will auction off the race-worn lid designed by the Thai orphans
"They are basically raising money for their sports hall and it was up to them to design a helmet for me," Albon said. "There were about 200 kids that got involved and they all had a go.
"We're going to auction off the helmet and we're going to give 100 percent of the proceeds to the charity."
Anyone who wishes to participate in the auction can head over to Formula 1's official website and enter a bid, with the auction closing on October 11.
