Maximilian Guenther and Maserati topped the timesheet on Tuesday at the end of the first day of Formula E's official pre-season test in Valencia.
Guenther was quickest in both the morning and afternoon sessions, the Maserati MSG Racing charger concluding the day with a marginal 0.041s edge over Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein.
The Maserati name will return to single seater racing next year for the first time since 1960, with Guenter and teammate Edoarto Mortara entrusted with reviving the legendary brand's aura in motorsport.
Testing at Valencia will continue today and on Friday, with the first round of the 2023 ABB Formula E World championship taking place in Mexico City on January 14.
