There was an attentive and special spectator this weekend at Donington who braved the wet and cold conditions to support a family member in a round of the British Touring Car Championship.
Lewis Hamilton was trackside behind the fences, just like a normal fan, to watch brother Nic compete in a round of the BTCC.
The inundated track made for a challenging race for the 31-year-old who suffers from cerebral palsy. But Nic acquitted himself well at the wheel of his Team HARD entered Leon Cupra, steering his car to a sixth-place finish in Race 2.
As for his superstar sibling, Hamilton discreetly remained in the wings, incognito, to allow Nic to savour his well-deserved moment.
"I haven't been to Donington in a long time," the seven-time world champion wrote on Instagram.
"I was so excited to watch and support my brother there today as a normal spectator , felt really special. I'm so proud of you bro, 6th place today was such a special result and you truly deserve it! Keep pushing.
