Three months after the death of Francois Cevert and the retirement of Jackie Stewart, it was time for Tyrrell to pick itself up and go again at the start of 1974. The season began with the Argentinian and Brazilian grands prix in January, with Jody Scheckter - here applying plenty of opposite lock - and Patrick Depailler racing the Tyrrell 006 ahead of the introduction of the new 007 upon the return to Europe.
