The world is his runway: Hamilton’s frequent flyer journey

As a man who loves to escape the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary, Lewis Hamilton took to skydiving like a fearless bird, soaring through the open skies with the same grace and precision that defines his every pursuit.

After F1’s season finale last month in Abu Dhabi, the seven-time world champion kick started his winter break with a leap of faith and a few daredevil rolls above the Dubai desert,

The rush of wind, the breathtaking view of the desert landscape, and the sheer exhilaration of freefall would undoubtedly leave anyone feeling a sense of liberation and unparalleled adrenaline.

But for Hamilton, his skydiving adventures are more than just a thrilling pastime; they’re a way to connect with his inner self and push his boundaries to new heights while indulging in a deep appreciation for the beauty and grandeur of the natural world.

The Mercedes driver’s exploits were documented by his sponsor Monster Energy. Check out the footage:

Phillip van Osten

Motor racing was a backdrop from the outset in Phillip van Osten's life. Born in Southern California, Phillip grew up with the sights and sounds of fast cars thanks to his father, Dick van Osten, an editor and writer for Auto Speed and Sport and Motor Trend. Phillip's passion for racing grew even more when his family moved to Europe and he became acquainted with the extraordinary world of Grand Prix racing. He was an early contributor to the monthly French F1i Magazine, often providing a historic or business perspective on Formula 1's affairs. In 2012, he co-authored along with fellow journalist Pierre Van Vliet the English-language adaptation of a limited edition book devoted to the great Belgian driver Jacky Ickx. He also authored "The American Legacy in Formula 1", a book which recounts the trials and tribulations of American drivers in Grand Prix racing. Phillip is also a commentator for Belgian broadcaster Be.TV for the US Indycar series.
