Max Verstappen climbed into a full-size pink LEGO Cadillac steered by actor Terry Crews for his post-race victory lap in Las Vegas, but it was the equally loud pink sunglasses that stole the show – and hinted at how the Dutchman now sees his title prospects through decidedly rose-tinted glasses.
Pictured alongside Lando Norris during their unconventional cool-down, the Dutchman looks every bit the man whose night in Sin City delivered more than just a win: it gave him a late second wind in the championship chase.
Norris, still celebrating P2, for a few more hours at least, seems bemused by his rival’s eyewear swagger, while the Red Bull driver leans into the moment with the confidence of a man who knows momentum is shifting his way.
In Vegas, even the vision comes with a glow.
