Like father, like mother, like son! The Wolff racing legacy officially has its next generation climbing the ranks.
Standing proudly on the top step of the podium in Italy, Jack Wolff has just secured his very first karting victory.
Competing in the highly competitive X30 U10 category during the fourth round of the IAME Series Italy, the young racer conquered the Cremona Circuit on July 5th, managing to beat out tough rivals Mason Brody and Basalamah Sybil to take the overall win.
Even though it’s only his debut season in competitive karting, Jack already sounds like a seasoned Formula 1 veteran in front of the microphone. Reflecting on the intense wheel-to-wheel action, he admitted, “It was really hard. I have to say a big thank you to my team. Without them I couldn’t have done this, so I’m really happy.”
The only downside to the otherwise perfect weekend? His famous parents, Toto and Susie Wolff, actually missed the big milestone because they were away working at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone!
We can only imagine Toto was somewhere deep in the Mercedes garage, frantically checking junior karting live-timing screens instead of the actual F1 monitors. Look out, paddock – there’s a new Wolff in town, and he’s already bringing home the hardware!
