Ferrari unveil Schumacher-inspired race suits for Monza

Ferrari is bringing a little Schumacher magic back to Monza.

For next weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will trade their usual racewear for one-off suits paying tribute to Michael Schumacher and his extraordinary Ferrari legacy.

Still unmistakably scarlet, the suits feature the seven stars famously associated with Schumacher’s helmet – a fitting nod to the German’s seven world titles, five of which came during his glorious Ferrari reign between 2000 and 2004.

The timing could hardly be more poignant. The 2026 Monza weekend marks 30 years since Schumacher claimed his first victory for Ferrari in 1996 and 20 years since his final F1 triumph in 2006. He also conquered the Scuderia’s beloved home race five times.

With the SF-26 reportedly set to receive a Schumacher-inspired makeover as well, the Italian outfit is preparing a very special homecoming.

And with Ferrari chasing Mercedes in the constructors’ battle while Hamilton and Leclerc remain in the title fight, Monza promises to be more than a celebration of the past. It could be a chance to write another chapter in Ferrari history.
