Ten years ago on this date, seven-time grand prix winner Juan Pablo Montoya took his final Formula One start at the 2006 United States GP. His last race in the top flight did not last long, as the fiery Colombian infamously collided with his McLaren team-mate Kimi Raikkonen in the opening sequence of corners, which sent both drivers into retirement and Montoya to NASCAR.
