On a day when Sauber secures its long-term future in Formula One, let’s look back at the Swiss team’s maiden challenger - the C12. Pictured above is JJ Lehto driving the car on his grand prix debut at Kyalami, South Africa in 1993. The Finn qualified sixth and went on to finish fifth to give Sauber a promising start to life in F1.
