Nico Hulkenberg might still be searching for his first F1 podium, but he did secure a pole position in his rookie season in the sport, and in a Williams to boot. Hulkenberg took advantage of drying conditions in qualifying in Brazil to beat the Red Bull pair of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber to pole. In the race he was beaten off the line by Vettel and eventually finished the race in eighth place.
