McLaren founder Bruce McLaren would have turned 79 on this day had his life not been tragically cut short in a Can-Am crash on June 2, 1970. In his all-too-short career, the famous Kimi still had time to win four Formula One grands prix, as well as the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours with the late Chris Amon. That and launch what has become one of the most iconic Formula One teams in history.
