Thirteen years ago on this day, Kimi Raikkonen took a popular win at the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with Lotus, the Finn achieving his first victory in F1 since returning to the sport after a two-year hiatus.
The event was also the scene of two of the Iceman's most famous radio moments.
During the race, when updated by his race engineer on the gap over Ferrari's Fernando Alonso who was behind him, the 2007 world champion fired back a very direct: "Just leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!"
A while later, when reminded to keep his tyres warm behind the Safety Car, Kimi gave an equally blunt response: "Yes, yes, yes, I'm doing that all the time. You don't have to remind me every 10 seconds !"
Classic Kimi.
