Force India first raced in F1 in 2008 following the takeover of the Spyker F1 Team, and has made steady progress ever since. The first race was in Australia, with both Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella (picture on lap one) retiring. The team finished 10th without scoring in its first season, moving up to ninth in 2009, with its first point-scoring finish being Fisichella's remarkable second place at Spa. Since then its final finishing position has been: 7th, 6th 7th, 6th, 6th, 5th, 4th.
