F1 drivers go head-to-head at RoC 2017

This weekend sees the annual Race of Champions competition, this year being staged at Miami’s Marlins Park in the United States.

As well as current and former Formula One stars Sebastian Vettel, Pascal Wehrlein, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, Juan Pablo Montoya, Alexander Rossi Scott Speed and David Coulthard, motorsports champions from NASCAR, IndyCar, Le Mans, Rally X and Touring Cars were also busy putting in some practice laps on Friday ahead of the big event.

Saturday will see individual Race Of Champions - previously won by Vettel - and then the drivers pair up in teams for Sunday’s ROC Nations Cup.

This year there's also a special Ryder Cup-style finale, America vs The World, which explains why in this picture we see the home stars including Travis Pastrana and Kyle Busch facing down their competition from around the globe that includes

Other drivers taking part include Petter Solberg, Tom Kristensen, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Tony Kanaan, James Hinchcliffe and Helio Castroneves.
