Mercedes didn't have to worry about an outside threat during 2014, with reliability the only real aspect which could stop it winning races. In the fight against his team-mate, Nico Rosberg had the upper hand in qualifying in a season which went to the wire and took pole position in Bahrain before he lost out in an epic battle on Sunday night.

He worked for many years in magazine production at Bauer Media, and for over a decade he was part of the digital media team at the UK government's communications department. Born and raised in Essex, Andrew currently lives and works in south-west London.
