Lewis Hamilton has been spending the first few days of his summer break in the Caribbean, including a visit to his grandfather who lives in Grenada.

"A big part of my heritage and family is from the Caribbean," he posted on twitter. "Feels just like home. What an amazing few days it's been."

No doubt there will be more holiday snaps from Hamilton over the coming couple of weeks as he continues his jet-setting around the world and he makes the most of the opportunities presented by Formula One's mandatory summer shutdown.
