Force India – It’s all about perspective 

In order to circumvent Article 3.7 of the 2015 technical regulations – which basically stipulates that an F1 nose must form a single cross section, without any opening – Force India aerodynamicists have created both ducts in such a way that these do not constitute an aperture. When looking straight at the “nostril” (see the left picture above), you cannot see the ground beneath, because there is some overlap in the design. However, when one gradually shifts and looks at it from an angle of 45°, that’s when one can see through the duct (see the middle and right pictures above).
