Force India goes straight with its revised exhaust tail pipe

When removing the engine cover, one can notice that the exhaust tail pipe has a new design. While it used to shoot upwards before flattening at the end, it now has a straighter shape and stretches along the top of the gearbox. Several potential reasons can explain such a change: either it is a direct consequence of the slimmer bodywork and aims to make the most of the new design philosophy, or the idea is to project the exhaust gas stream towards another area at the back of the car, or perhaps Force India looks to wring more power out of its Mercedes PU106B.
