A good weekend for Merhi, who sat out FP1 but still was quickly up to speed at a track he's quick on, comfortably outqualifying Stevens. A good start saw him jump the Saubers and race them for a few laps, which was the best he could manage as the Manor was a long way off the pace on a high downforce circuit. Even lost some time with a headrest issue.
