Heading out into the limelight one last time
As a direct result of Fernando Alonso's trip to Indy, Jenson Button was called back by McLaren for a one-off outing in Monte-Carlo. Achieving a good result was always going to be a tall order for JB. An engine penalty put him last on the grid, and then he crashed out of the race after colliding with Pascal Wehrlein. It was hardly the F1 swansong he deserved or hoped for. The highlight of Button's Sunday was probably his funny pre-race radio exchange with Alonso who asked him to handle his car with care. "Ok, I'm going to pee in your seat,' mischievously replied the Brit.
