MERCEDES AND McLAREN PLAY IT SMOOTH
Mercedes and McLaren have rolled with "smooth" versions of their rear wing. On both cars, the endplate is no longer serrated but has a slick surface, to limit drag.

McLaren, who normally use the serrated model, had already used this version at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Mercedes, meanwhile, introduced a serrated version as late as Austria, and used it in Germany, Hungary and Singapore.
