Fernando Alonso showed a sense of humour when failing to set a time in qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix, relaxing in the sunshine on a deck chair while sat trackside.
Alonso had already been forced to stop on track during FP2 when he was again told by McLaren to pull over early in the first part of qualifying on Saturday, leading him to wait trackside until Q1 was completed.
As a result of the image, social media has responded in kind to create a number of entertaining mock images which drop Alonso in to different locations accompanied with the hashtag #PlacesAlonsoWouldRatherBe.
